BeeSafe’s Services protect bee health with services in three different areas:
- Veterinary medicine
- Agriculture
- Science Communication
- BeeSafe Academy
Honey bees (and bees in general) are different to other animals. So, the requirements for registration of bee health products or risk assessment are getting more complex. Last, but not least, beekeeping activities are challenged by various bee health issues. In the BeeSafe Academy, you learn how to keep bees healthy.
BeeSafe’s Services in veterinary medicine
These services are addressed to companies who want to register veterinary medicine and food supplements for honey bees. In the EU, these products are regulated and need a registration. This requires some time and data. BeeSafe supports you during this journey with consulting services and field studies. I have a process to help you getting the best results for the registration of your product. This is flexible, so you can enter this process depending how advanced you already are.
Before being able to help you, I need some information. For this, we first sign a non-disclosure agreement to be able to speak freely. In a short initial call, we then talk about your product and at which stage of development/registration you are. This is necessary so that I can evaluate if and how your needs and my expertise match. If this is the case, you decide if you want to go the next steps with BeeSafe.
Services in agriculture
In this area, BeeSafe’s services include the monitoring of semi-field and field studies.
With the review of the EFSA bee guidance and the new ECHA guidance on bees, I also help in chosing the correct study type, the planning, and reporting of the studies. For this, contact me for specialized consulting services.
Also in this case, before starting a project, we’ll have an initial call to see if your needs and my expertise match. Obviously, a NDA will help to speak freely. Finally, you decide if you want to work with BeeSafe.
Science communication
As a special consulting service, BeeSafe does the dissemination activities for (bee) research projects. These are requested by most EU funded projects, including a website, social media activities, etc. This service is also open to associations which are interested in communicating about bee science and aim to train beekeepers, vets, and other stakeholders on bees. Please note that I’m not a copywriter, so it’s all research and educational purposes!
BeeSafe Academy
In between BeeSafe’s services, this one is the newest entry. The BeeSafe Academy is meant for beekeepers, vets and associations to learn about bees, their biology, health, and welfare. It’s meant as a safe space to learn – because you only can save the bees with knowledge.
